On Wednesday night we attended the Great Gatsby Salon fundraiser, at the St Laurent Centre. If you’ve followed from our last post, we were asked to attend the event as their special guests and cook up a guest post for the STL blog. When we walked into the room, it was seriously like we had stepped out of a time machine, right into the Buchanan mansion. From the jazz playing in the background, to the servers in twenties garb, to the vintage decor – the atmosphere was so authentic.
It was such a wonderful evening, especially because we were finally able to put faces to some names and meet the creative minds behind the entire event. And of course, we weren’t complaining about the bottomless cocktails and hors d’oeuvre as well!

And to everyone’s surprise, four dancers masquerading as guests broke out into a choreographed dance to “Suit and Tie.” You should’ve seen these guys, they were sick!
Leslie-Ann Barrett, Bernise, Mary Lou of 20YS, and Lee-Ann Lacroix, who was the creative mind behind the stunning transformation of the space.
